Aether 70 Plane I Finally Started Backpacking. I Need A Good Lightweight Knife Or Multi-tool. Recommendations?

I finally started backpacking. I need a good lightweight knife or multi-tool. Recommendations? - aether 70 plane

Ok I'm an Eagle Scout. I know about camping and hiking. My father was a Boy Scout. He fell, and now we have and others want to go for week long trips. I have a 70 Osprey Aether, very slightly over 5 pounds. To save a 30-degree bag thats about 4 pounds and 5 pounds. Up to now the weight was essential. Well, I think, a good knife or multi-tool is a key element for walks. I saw Leatherman and Gerber. I want to keep weight to a maximum of 6 ounces. Would you recommend or multi-tool would be easier to take just a knife? What would you recommend? I less than $ 100.

GoLite my backpack weighs 14.2 ounces, while my wife a kit from Ray Jardine 9 ounces made our 30-degree sleeping bag quilt weighs 2 kg, 5.6 ounces and 1 pound, 8 ounces, respectively. My entire pack weight alone is 11.4 kilograms.

I have a Leatherman Squirt Tool with pliers to fish, weighing 1.9 ounces, a pair of scissors, Leatherman Micra, which weighs 1.7 grams and Columbia River Knife weighs 2.5 ounces kiss

They are rare with a knife for something other than the preparation of food and firewood. I use the scissors on the blades, so I usually the Micra, if I go alone and I'm not fishing.

Get a "Leatherman" multi-tool.They are the best. They come in different styles and models, and they are inexpensive. Gerber've have used before and never having used the mark .. A Leatherman multi-tool is much more useful than a knife to suit your needs ........

Among the tools of the Leatherman brand, and you get a steel-154cm. 154cm steel has to be a lead normally used by about 10 times more than the 420 stainless steel Leatherman. The 420 is good, but the 154cm was formerly called Super Steel for a very good reason. The office XTi as a sheet of paper with 420 in the blade from steel. Can be used for about 75 to $ 90 depending on where you live to be found. If you have a Frye Electronics, have not far from where you live, lo and behold, as they have the best prices.
